DF reports a decrease in file system max size after deleting files but fle system remains 100% full.
Happened after running make for current version of php with current version of apache.
Running slackware 9
Any ideas? Byte goblins maybe? Anyhelp will be greatly appreciated.

What type of filesystem are you using i.e. ext3 etc? 5% is reserved for root by default which is not included in used space but is for total. It is possible to change the amount of reserved space. How big are your partitions?
