Whats this Lie-nix Thing?

Hey, i've got mandrake 9.2 installed and am trying to connect to AOL with Peng 1.0. I've installed the drivers for my lucent DSP winmodem but when i check the drivers with peng it it says it doesn't work on this configuration. Can anyone help?

winmodem's are very nasty and typically not accepted as a real modem so finding correct drivers to get your modem to work is highly doubtful

I don't like winmodems either ... but if you are going to get it to work, here is the best place I have found for info:
