I just started to use linux and when i went to install the first red hat 9 disk on my computer(hp pavilion 524c) i am having little or no trouble installing but at the end of installation the monitor displays the message "out of range" can some one please help? it would be greatly greatly appreciated.

when you boot up change your login type to 3 so it just is text. then run redhat-config-xfree86 at the command to configure your display
