I have a lot of mp3-wavs that I downloaded to use as system sounds when I was using Windows, but I had to install a special codec for them so that they would work as system sounds. They don't seem to work in Linux as far as I can tell, and I can't seem to find any info on them for Linux (several sites offering the codec for Windows, though). Anyone know what I can do? I'd really like to be able to use these files. smile.gif

You could try converting them all to wave files? Seems like the easiest option to me.

*EDIT*
Sorry I thought you'd said mp3 files, not wave files with mp3 encoding.
