Is there a data/file shredder for linux. Seems to be plenty of them for win but I have not found one yet for linux.........Thanks

No what he is looking for is something that scrambles the disk so that the file is not recoverable. rm doesn't compleatly remove the file, it just deleates the heading.

Sorry, I don't know one, I will go look, but I asume you have already so I probably wont find anything.
