Okay I feel like a real noob when I say this but I'm trying to move some files from my windows partition (hda2) to my Redhat Linux 9 partition (hda3). I put all the files from windows in a FAT32 partition of another drive on my computer (hdb2). But I forgot that I have no clue how to access hdb2 on Linux. I tried navigating to /dev/hdb2 in Nautilus but it says it has "no viewer capable of reading the file" (wtf?). Some ... ANY help would be GREATLY appreciated. Thanks in advance, Michael.

create a directory to mount the partition in ... I always mount in the /mnt directory ...

so:

mkdir /mnt/hdb2

Now you can mount the partition into the new directory ...

mount -t vfat /dev/hdb2 /mnt/hdb2

Now go to /mnt/hdb2 and the files should be there....
