I want to network my laptop which has XP install with linux(debian), what should I do ????

I assume that when you plug it in to the nework and boot linux, it doesn't work?

What version of debian (Stable {woody}, Testing {sarge}, or Unstable {sid})?

What kind of Network card?

Do you have hotplug installed?

What version is your Kernel?
