Well im tryin to teach myself linux, Startin with mandrake. and just ran into my first big problem. which is

I need to get a file into /usr/lib, but each time I try it says I don't have permissions(I know, I know this has gotta be a stupid question)
Oh and if it is of any importance the files name is "libstdc++-2-libc6.1-1-2.9.0.so"

Enter su at the command prompt.Now it will ask for the root password..enter the password and you can copy the file there smile.gif
However i must warn you..this is not the way libraries are supposed to be installed.
