we develop an accounting based cobol package for unix/linux
using redhat 7.3 we run script in background with a sleep to check on print requests.
when a request is found a cobol program is ran to print the request.
this produces a [cobrun:nnnn]: set personality to 7000003 message on the console display.
in /usr/src/linux-2.4.18-10/kernel there is a member called:
exec_domain.c which appears to do this using printk
the script is run in cshell (user shell)
is there a command I can add to the script to stop this or edit the file containing the display??
My proficiency is in cobol not linux/C etc
