Received an error telling me that my session lasted less than 10 seconds and that the likely problem was an installation error or that the disk was full. I am able to login as 'root' with no problems, but do not know how to go about correcting the problem with the user ID. When logged in the last time, I did install Yahoo Messenger for Linux/UNIX. I suspect that this is the problem, but I am not sure how to remove it from the login startup.

Any help for a newbie would be greatly appreciated.
