Whats this Lie-nix Thing?

I have no sound...Every time that i try to playback the apllication (every application) that i use for playback hangs!
I use mandrake 10 linux,nforce2,ati9600pro512mbddr

Nforce2 chipset?

Go to the nvidia site, and download the audio/net/apgart drivers.

Then 'modprobe nvaudio'

I would reccomend that you follow the guide written by Hughesjr here

and if you have any problems I think I can help you. I have almost the same system as you
except I'm using Fedora Core 1 , but I also have a Nvidia NForce2 and a Ati Radeon 9600Pro
