I installed RH Linux 8.0, logged in as root with no problem. I then added another user with the same password as the root user. Now, When I login as "root" I just get a blue screen(No Icons,nothing...). But when I login as the previous added user everything comes up fine. Can someone help me get the root screen back.

Thanks

Bruce

Strange problem, I haven't heard of this before. My only suggestion is that if you just installed it fresh, and you use gnome, then delete the gnome directory in your /root . It's probably named ~/.gnome or ~/.gnome2 or something. After deleting that, try to login through GDM again and see what happens.
