I have an 3com pci card and suse 9.0 instaled on a 766 motherboard from pcchips, i disbled the onboard card and here is my problem. My sound card an via 97' on board use the irq 3 and the network card use the same irq (irq 3 in this case), when a booting in graphical mode with kde, the system freeze in the process, when i remove the network card everything is ok.

What can i do, help me please...!!!

Im a new user, and i don't know too much about linux...

Hi,

you could try puting your network card to another PCI slot.

or you could try entering your bios setup and playing with the IRQ settings, and defina a IRQ for your network card manually.

I just change the pci slot and reinstall Red Hat 9.0 and everything work fine...
