Was wondering if anyone could help me to figure out why i keep getting a device or resource busy error with the onbaord sis900 LAN on an Asus p4s800 mobo. I've run ifconfig and i can see the device
but when ever i try to bring it up i get the same error. I've got the lan connected througha trendware router. Any help or ideas on fixing this prob. I would be most appreciated. sad.gif

Have you installed the modules for the chipset? That would be my first step.

SIS seems to have linux support on thier webpage. Try their and see if you cant find drivers for you system.
