I am having trouble with ant 1.6.1 when I attempt to run it [ $ ant ] .

I get error message: Exception in thread "main" java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError: org/apache/tools/ant/launch/Launcher .

I looked through the executable files in the ant directory:
[ /usr/local/apache-ant-1.6.1/bin ] and in the file , I found what looks to be the problem:

push @ARGS, ", @ANT_ARGS;

There is the call to the directory that I do not have on my system. I do not have an org directory, or tools directory, or launch, or Launcher in either my apache2 folder, or ant folder, as far as I know.

Does someone know what I should be using to make that call to Launcher in compatible with my system?
