Hello, I just made the move to Linux, obviously to learn more about it. Here is the problem I am having. I installed Red hat 9 on my Laptop, however, it always boot's to text mode, if I start "start" I boot into Gnome. How do I set it to always boot into graphical mode so I can set it to KDE?

do this

startup your computer ...

1 cd /etc
2 vi inittab
now you will see the inittab file

there is a runlevel id 3 or something change it to 5

to add text with vi, press I , once you are done , press ESC , then enter this :w and then ENTER then enter this :q and then ENTER
