Mandrake 10 Community is based on a 2.6.x kernel and SUSE 9.0 Pro is based on a 2.4.x kernel, so Mandrake will detect more hardware.

Mandrake 10 Official is out, only to Mandrake Club members for now, but the downloadable edition will be on the mirrors very soon (The word from Mandrake is early May ... so before the 15th of May is a good guess).

SUSE 9.1 Pro will also be released fairly soon (it is also based on a 2.6.x kernel).

I would wait 1 to 2 weeks and install either Mandrake 10 Official or SUSE 9.1 Pro. (Or install Mandrake 10 Community now and reinstall Mandrake 10 Official when it comes out).
