I am running Mandrake 7.0 Kernel on a PC. AMD proc, 256Mb Ram, GA-7IXEH m/board. VIA KT133/133E chipset.

When I attempt to power down, the computer freezes at "The System is Halted"... "stopping all md devices.." then thats it! The cursor just blicks.

What is the solution. Thanks anyone.

possibly there is an option in your bios that is keeping it from turning off.

there is nothing wrong with what it is just have to manually

turn it off when it gets to that point....i have to do that myself with one

of my linux boxes..
