hi, i've recently moved my linux machine from 192.168.190.* to 192.168.90.* and for some reason i'm having trouble sending mail. my /var/log/maillog has some messages like:

CODE
SYSERR(root): hash map "Alias0": unsafe map file /etc/aliases.db: Permission denied
NOQUEUE: SYSERR(root): Cannot create database for alias file /etc/aliases

i'm using redhat 9.0

the files its talking about are:

-rw-r----- 1 smmsp smmsp 12288 Mar 29 11:34 /etc/aliases.db
-rw-r--r-- 1 root root 1343 Sep 17 2003 /etc/aliases

are these permissions wrong? what should they be?

thanks in advance.

are your original ips listed in the aliases file...
if so you have to change them to the new ones
