i believe you need to install the kernel-source package that matches the kernel version you are running..

He is correct, you don't have the source code for your kernel.

This should get you started...

run the command
rpm -qa | gerp kernel

you should make sure that you have both a kernel-2.x.x..... and a kernel-source-2.x.x...... of matching versions

like mine prints out
kernel-2.6.3.7mdk
kernel-source-2.6.3.7mdk


This means that I have both the 2.6.3.7 kernel and source code installed.

If you don't let us know what kernel version you are running and we can help you get the source code.

If you are unsure as to what kernel version you are running, run the command
uname -r

And that will tell you what version you currently have running.

Hi

you can find that key just above the , press SHIFT+ and you get | [this forum show this thing a bit different, the real simbol consists of two parst].

Robert, you must be using a sun keyboard or something, the bang as it is called is located above the enter key. it usually looks like two lines on top of eachother, but when you put it on a screen it comes out as one. | its the shift of the key.
