Okay, I'm using the most recent verison of Mandrake Linux and the main purpose I'm using for it is to run a program that is made to create an .IPS patch.

However, I'm having a bit of a problem here-- The program that I'm using uses the 65816 assembler by Jeremy Gordan, and there is a patch that I need to use so that I can recompile it. I have the patch in the same directory as the assembler, but I don't know how to recompile it... Any help here?

If a stronger explanation is needed, I can give that... This is probably a very simple problem, but I'm at my worst end when it comes to Linux. >_< Thank you for your time.

Patching or installing instruction should be included in the patch archive. If it isn't, check out their Website. Goggle them.

Generally, you must be in the source dir:

patch -p1 < patch_file

It will prolly not work without knowing the patching procedure the developer defined.
