Whats this Lie-nix Thing?

Hey

I am a new to Linux. My problem is that everytime I try to access the users from the Mandrake Control Center I get this error file /etc/qtmp or etc/ptmp exist

I've never heard of those files before, but from what I can tell from a google search is that it's a password lock file. It seems to be some sort of backup file for your /etc/passwd file. So, my suggestion to this error is to copy your passwd file to /etc/ptmp and try again.

When I installed Mandrake I did not put any passwords
