I'm new in Linux, I'm trying to install a software and following the read instructions and when I type for start
% ./configure
I receave an error message
bash: fg: % no such job
Go to the top of the page

hi ,

when installin programs from source

1 ./configure [look out for possible warrning errors]
2 make [here to]
3 make install [if all is good, do this]
4 make clean

5 start the program
