Recently my Redhat 9 box has been ridiculously slow in accessing other computer on my network. It happened quickly, and it is now easier and faster to bring floppy disks back and forth. Other units are windows 2000, and transfer between them is fast as ever.

Thanks,

CC

Hi,

You could try switching ethernet cards, switch the old one with some other that you know it works good, maybe that is the problem, try switching the cable...

check if you're ethernet cards are working in half-duplex or full-duplex mode on the RH9, and the Windows machines to,...

I've read in a Cisco manual[? if I remember this right], that if a computer with half-duplex mode comunicates with another computer that is in full-duplex mode, speed issues may occur...

Sincerely
Robert B
