I am running a standard Linux 7.2 installation and have installed an external D-Link DFM 560E modem. I am dialing into a linux box also running 7.2. When using minicomm every thing works ok. When using pppdI get a connection and data transfer BUT I get 30% receive errors on the connection according to ifconfig. This causes the transfer of data to be extremely slow. Can anyone offer any advice. Why is it ok using minicom and not ok when setting up a connection using pppd. Even a starting point would be greatly appreciated here.
