ok... i have mandrake 9.1, running apache2.
i'm trying to use get it so... brings up an apache generated directory indexing if the index.htm page is not there.

i tried adding in my httpd.conf file "DirectoryIndex index.htm"...

what am i missing? sad.gif
does it need in the < ifmodule autoindex.c > tag? cause i tried that, still to no avail...

i have that right now and its bringing up a 403 error... go go being forbidden ::pouts::

someone help me and i'll.. give you a cookie. or you'll just keep me from ripping my hair out.

DirectoryIndex index.htm requires that you put a file in there named index.htm

if you want just the default index, set the option Indexes for that directory in httpd.conf
