I get this message when running wine:

You are running a distribution of Linux on which WineX requires the usage of pthreads on (ie. very recent glibc)

Unfortunately the maximum stack size on your distribution is not large enough for some games, and therefore you might have issues.

How can I increase my stack size (and what exactly is a stack size?)

What debian are you using (woody, sarge, sid)?

You would need to recompile glibc to fix it .... which is pretty tricky.

Here is a reference:
http://lists.debian.org/debian-glibc/2003/...8/msg00560.html

Here is a Debian Bug report:
http://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.c....cgi?bug=204691

Some people say they use it with the error and it works ...
