Ok., im trying to install progz like limewire and stuff, and make the file executable and stuff, then when i type ./LimeWireLinux.bin i get this error: Preparing to install...
Extracting the installation resources from the installer archive...
Configuring the installer for this system's environment...
No Java virtual machine could be found from your PATH
environment variable. You must install a VM prior to
running this program.

What do i do, i heard something bout getting j2re, i tried getting it, installed it (at least i think i did) but still the same error..

P.S. Anyone know any free shell accounts with telnet? PLEASE TELL ME, i would pay, but u know its hard for 15 year-olds to find jobs wink.gif

Thank you for your time!

if you installed a jvm
like j2se or something like that
you have to add the path to the jvm
to the system path for example

you would have to type the following
substituting /usr/local/java with the path
that you installed your java into

PATH=$PATH:/usr/local/java
export PATH
