Trying to do this on a Redhat 9 machine and a debian (knoppix) machine

2.4 kernel each

I've got winex3 [if you mean that wine wich is optimised for Directx],

well I've downloaded the winex[blablabla].rpm file.
and installed it with rpm -ivh winex[blablabla].rpm from CONSOLE.

after that just type winex3 [somegame].exe [Warcraft 3 works for me]



For the source code install, probably untar the file

and 1) ./configure 2) make 3) make install 4) make clean
