OK,

as you may know, i sent a question a couple of days ago, asking which Lycoris iso's it is that I need and whether i can burn them to CD from windows. My next question is, when I have downloaded these iso's, burnt them to CD, will i be able to install Lycoris over my Mandrake 9.2 installation, but keep all my existing files, games etc.

Thanks

Daniel

Nope. =/

You could move any files you need to save over to your windows partition (Unless it's NTFS and your kernel doesn't support it...) ;_;

In that case, do you have a CD burner? XD

The only thing that you want to save are datafiles ... basically, your home directories ... maybe some configuration files from /etc (but only if the programs are going to be the same version).

I wouldn't change from Mandrake (a free OS with free downloads and a large userbase) to Lycoris (a non free OS with a much smaller user base) ... but to each his own.
