I am somewhat familiar with Linux; emphesis on the "somewhat".

I recently inherited an lx164 that was headed to surplus in our department. I figured "why not; I've never used an alpha before...how hard could it be?" and took it home.

I got Mandrake 7.1 for alpha installed on it with minimal difficulty. However, I haven't the slightest idea what parameters to put in for a boot. I've tried everything I can think of, but I'm pretty much working blind and clueless. I can't get anything to work.

Google turned up scant resources on alphas, except for the apparently defunct linuxalpha.org.

Does anyone know what to do here? Or better yet, can anyone direct me to a good resource for linux on alphas?
