Hello could anyone please help, I've recently installed Redhat 7.3 on an old machine and that appears to be working perfectly well, however my plan is to use this machine as a gateway for a network of Win2000 machines. I've installed a Fujitsu ADSL USB modem into the linux machine which connects OK and appears in ifconfig as a working ppp0 connection, however I can't get onto the internet.
I'm pretty sure that the problem is having no gateway address in the ppp0 connection (when I type route -n) I believe this should be my IP assigned by my ISP. If this is right can someone tell me how to add the gateway address? if not does anyone know what could be the problem?
If by a miracle I get this working can you tell me a good site for configuring a firewall and the best way to share the connection between the other machines.
