I'm trying to set up a local HP Deskjet 600C printer on RedHat 7.3 .
I run "printconf-tui" as root, select all the proper settings. But when I try to print a test page it sais that an error occured. Well I know that EVERYTHING is right, but I'm not too sure about the drivers... There are many of them, tried them all and they don't work. What am I doing wrong?

I don't have an install of RH7.3 or a DeskJet 600C ... but I did get printconf-tui on RH8 to config properly for a DeskJet 660C.

I also used printconf-tui on RHEL 3 to setup an SMB printer to a Windows 2000 Server for a DeskJet 3820 color printer. Both Worked well.

If I remember correctly .. the Deskjet 600C has special drivers and maybe that is the issue (we had one at work a long time ago, but it died and was replaced). You might try a 610C or 612C driver (at least they are there for my RH 8 system).
