I am very new to Linux and am Using at the moment Redhat 9.0. I also have a domain server running Win 2k Server. Can I setup my Linux users to authenticate with my Domain Server? Mind you I can see the server through samba, but just wanted to know if I could use the domain functions.

Yes you can (if you use NT type domain control and not Microsoft ADS) ... you need to setup the winbind feature of samba

See these docs
