hey i'm new!

well everything works fine. modem responds and dials up with kppp but when it gets to the "connecting to network stage" its tells me that pppd does not start. I have had similar problems before but they were solved by using kppp as root. after a reinstall this now ceases to work!

i would really like to know why this happens, what i can do about it and if i can get it to work under root then how do i make it work under other users.

thanks in advance
