Whats this Lie-nix Thing?

i have just installed red hat 9 through a virtual pc wink.gif . I got up to the stage of configuring my graphics card, and the pc hung mad.gif . After rebooting, linux stops booting with a message: Kernel Panic. No init found. Try passing init= option to kernel. I have absolutly no idea what to do. Pls can some-one help!

Sounds like your bootloader didn't finish ... if you have Windows as your main OS, you can fix the bootloader (so you can reboot into windows) by booting with your windows CD and from a dos prompt (or the XP repair console) tpye the command:

fdisk /fixmbr
