Installed Mandrake 7.2 on 333 Mhz brd connected okay, di not have to touch anything. Brd died and with 400Mhz brd cannot connect or setup cable connection on either a dlink or micronics lan card. Am running thru a dlink router. 2 other win OS machines no problem. What info do I need and where do I get it?
Thanks unsure.gif

Sounds like the network cards are not being detected. Are they ISA or PCI type cards?

Card detection is much better with newer versions of the OS.

In 7.2 Harddrak did recognize both cards. In 9.2 (just installed) it recognizes the Dlink as via6102 card however it hangs the system on bootup waiting etho. However you might have something regarding no recognizing. Will see if I can grab another motherboard to test.
