I am new with linux but I have been using it for some time now and i got the hang of things. I run a Http/FTP server and I am trying to get MySQL configured so I can setup a Forum. i looked around and saw the guide for setting up MySQL but everytime I enter the setup for for insert to i get an

ERROR 1046: No Database Seleected

Am I on track with creating a Database or no? I entered what what it said for enabling it for the localhost and i did replace the % with a name, but I'm starting to think I'm heading down the wrong track...
