I am having problems on setting up a subdomain in bind9. I added in my xyz.com.zone

papers IN A <myIP>

I also added a virtualhost in apache2 for papres.xyz.com, but when i hit www.xyz.com, it shows documentroot of the subdomain.
Is this a problem in bind or in apache2 ?
thnx a lot!

To see if it is a problem with DNS or APACHE, try this:

use this command (on a machine that is pointing to your DNS server for it's name lookups):

dig fully qualified domain name

or

nslookup fully qualified domain name

(substitute your domain name (ie papers.xyz.com) for fully qualified domain name)

If the IP address comes back right, then the problem is with the apache setup ...
