Whats this Lie-nix Thing?

In my house i have a linksys wireless system and i need to get on the internet on my computer. I just installed redhat 9 (the only os on the machine). and need some help. The wireless reciever is a usb one, and i plugged it in and tried to comfigure it but had no success. I am a linux newbie and would appreciate any suggestions

What is your wireless device? Is your device 'approved' by Redhat? Try here for Redhat's list of Kosher devices:

When you went through the install, did RH locate your device as it is called, or as a generic? I ask because all of my hardware was detected as the exact item, and I have had no prob.

Is your eth0 enabled? How did you set up your firewall? Also, after you configure, you have to save it.

Like I said, I am a noowb as well, but maybe this will stir the pot...
