I'm pretty new to Linux. I installed it the other night and can't get my internet connection up and running.

What we have in our house is a small 2 computer network, and I am on a laptop. I have a wireless card that connects to our little modem/router on the main computer. It's a 2wire (I have a 2wire wireless card and the main computer has a 2wire HomePortal). (http://www.2wire.com)

I've been to every site to try to figure out how to get it installed in Linux and get it up and running, but to no avail.

Each time I try to install it in Linux, I get errors with IP tables and such, even when I turn IP tables off, I still get errors concerning my IP.

Any suggestions, help?
Anything would be very much appreciated.
Thanks!
