Hello Tech Support,

Just starting with RedHat 8.0 features, attempted to change the display on IBM Thinkpad 600E to higher resolution by a terminal type other than "unknown laptop/notebook" using the gui options for terminal. On reboot I get a garbaged login screen that doesn't accept either user or password. Goes to "native" black screen with standard Linux login which works but I can not figure how to reset the configuration to bring up the gui view/desktop.

Thanks in advance for your assistance ... Rob

I suspect XF86Config/4 is messed up. Post ~/.xsession-errors
