Whats this Lie-nix Thing?

i have a production server running webmail, smtp, pop, imap, for several hundred clients, it is running debian woody (2.2x kern. unfortunatly), with exim for the smtp.

I went all over exim's site, and they really don't give much info in the way of blocking specific IPs, but it does say it can be done, how ? has anyone done it ?

I tried host_reject = 211.* and a few other combinations, but i can tail the logs, and watch mail from those (MANY) ips flying through the server.

Someone out there has to know how to make this work, as of today, about 20,000 emails have hit me in the last 48 hrs.
