Hi, I'm looking to buy my husband an iPAQ h1935 Pocket Computer but I need to know if he will be able to run Linux on it? I've heard conflicting stories and I don't know anything about this stuff!
THanks!

Yes and no, (hows that for conflicting!!!)

The familiar project are working on a Linux distro for the Ipaq.

http://familiar.handhelds.org/

For info on the 1900 series, see below. They mention support for that model/processor so a working distro should be in the works.

This project is still in development, and by the looks of it is a ways off being ready.

Hope this is of some use.

Aj
