Hi,

I am running Redhat 8.0 and the mouse pointer vanishes to the top right of the screen as soon as I move the mouse once the XServer has begun.

I have read that this may be a problem with 3 Button mice, and that one possible solution is to change the mouse driver to be of generic ps/2 type.

The problem is I don't know how to change this. I can get the menu up where the choice is in KDE, (System Settings, Mouse) but can not expand any of the branches in the tree, using the keyboard. I can't even reselect the MS Intelimouse that it is currently set to.

I guess another way to change it would be in the config file itself, but I am unsure of how to do this and don't wish to mess things up further...

This problem begun when I installed a new graphics card...

Any help would be massively appreciated...

Many thanks

ChrisC
