I'm running a new intallation of Mandrake 8.2 (Kernel 2.4.18-6). I have a S3Trio64+ (86C765) video card and an HP A4033A monitor. In a KDE window and, more noticeably, in a Web Browser window, I get so much "snow" (i.e., random white dots) that it is difficult to read text. I have tried changing to a generic S3 card and generic monitor with no noticeable effect. Any help is appreciated. Thanks jwalls@kanab.net
