when i try to install a .bin file in the shell by doing
chmod +x <name of file>
./<name of file>
i get an error somthing like: error in thread main, the shell gives me a bunch of java compiler errors i.e cannot find class String
i think i may need to change the class path for java (which i do have installed sdk 1.4.2) but i really have no idea
any help that you can give me will be greatly appreacieted

What program are you trying to install/run?

What is your Linux distro?
