Whats this Lie-nix Thing?

I just installed suse on my laptop i have three disks but never can seem to get to load the third one now all that comes is the boot sequence i dont have enough time to enter my password and it gone then it goes to a blank screen when i try to shut it off using fn+esc i see in the background the log off menue but it goes away and the mess starts all over next time i power up??

It looks like the system is starting in GUI mode (runlevel 5) and your X-Windows setup is incorrect.

On initial boot screen, select Linux and type 3 in the textbox and then press enter. You will boot to runlevel 3 (a none GUI mode).

If you can log in as root, then post about what laptop make and model you have...
