Hi,
I appologise if this is a stupid question or a repost. I am testing a Red Hat 9 box on my W2k network. I have installed Samba and Winbind by the default instalation. I have edited the smb.conf file accordingly and joined the box to the domain. I've started Samba and Winbind but when I try to give winbind a default use account I get the error message;
could not obtain winbind seperator!
could not obtain winbind domain name!

if I try the wbinfo -t;

could not check secret

Does anyone have any ideas how I might get round this.

many thanks

Michael
