Whats this Lie-nix Thing?

where can i get a file sharing program for Mandrake, someone told me it has to be a .rpm file can someone link to somewhere thanks

Install Samba. It's done by default with MANDRAKE. Install samba driver for Windows.

It doesn't have to be a RPM file. By file sharing do you mean peer to peer like kazaa or just being able to network a linux PC to a Windows PC?

Do you mean file sharing as in sharing files between OS's (that would be samba) ... or file sharing as in Peer-to-Peer like Kaaza/Edonkey?

If the latter, there is a program called giFT that allows you to connect to OpenFT (it's own method), Gnutella (Morpheous):

I don't use filesharing on Linux ... so I don't know how well any of these programs work...
